Backroad Magazine is for the reader who wants to get information about nature and camping, but also have a visually pleasing magazine that they can enjoy looking through, that will also serve as a great coffee table book. The audience is campers, van-lifers and adventurers, in their 20’s and 30’s.
Elements from nature are scanned into the covers to give a feeling of texture and tangibility. The typeface for “BACKROAD” is a custom typeface I designed to have organic curves and arches. The colors are chosen to be bright and non-organic, to give pops of color and contrast to the photos of nature.
